What is Supervised Access?
When parents separate or divorce, visits with the children may be a problem. Difficulties sometimes arise between the parents at the time the children are exchanged. At other times, there may be concerns about the visits themselves. Children and their families involved in custody and access disputes can utilize safe, neutral and child-focused settings where visits and exchanges can take place under the supervision of trained staff and volunteers. Children, their parents and/or family members can preserve or reconstruct caring relationships through the use of supervised access and exchange services.
Types of Service
Many parents are required by Court Order to use the service. In addition, lawyers for the parties and/or the children's lawyer may request the service. Voluntary Agreement referrals are only accepted when both parties consent to the service being provided. Any individual or family member wishing information is encouraged to call. All referrals are accepted on a first come first serve basis. If no space is available, you will be placed on a waiting list and contacted as soon as an opening becomes available.
