What is Supervised Parenting Time?

When parents separate or divorce, visits with the children may be a problem.  Difficulties sometimes arise between the parents at the time the children are exchanged.  At other times, there may be concerns about the visits themselves.  Children and their families involved in custody and access disputes can utilize safe, neutral and child-focused settings where parenting time and exchanges can take place under the supervision of trained staff and volunteers.  Children, their parents and/or family members can preserve or reconstruct caring relationships through the use of supervised parenting time and exchange services.
 
Updates January 2023:
  • After nearly 20 years, The Rose Garden has transitioned from the Ministry of the Attorney General to the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services as of April 1, 2022.
  • COVID-19: The Rose Garden Family Support Centre is open. We are providing on-site visits in both locations with a limited capacity. Currently, we are are accepting new intakes. 
  • Masks are optional. Please wear a mask if you wish and our staff will do the same. However, if you are sick please cancel your parenting time to protect others. This allows us to reduced screening and resume more normal parenting times.
  • We remain dedicated to reducing the spread of COVID-19 by providing a service that is safe for the participants and staff of The Rose Garden Family Support Centre. Thank you for your understanding.
